CSULB Dance majors/minors have access to our Dance Clinic and the support of Head Athletic Trainer John Siegel. The Dance Clinic facility provides students with space and equipment for injury prevention through conditioning and strength training. In addition, John provides an array of services including injury and illness prevention and wellness, emergency care, examination and initial diagnosis, therapeutic interventions, and facilitation of rehabilitation of injuries. The Dance Clinic offers students the opportunity to train (both indoors and outdoors) on the following equipment:

  • One Balanced Body Pilates reformer 
  • 2 Cadillac reformers 
  • Many different ellipticals 
  • Free weights & machine weights 
  • Foam rollers & TheraBand's 
  • Ice baths for legs & full-body 

Students can schedule appointments with John Siegel to: 

  • Learn how to use the Dance Clinic equipment 
  • Get Muscle release work 
  • Cupping  
  • Exercise & Nutrition Plans 
  • Get taping and/or wrapping done on injuries 
  • Getting extra help from the university (i.e. Health Services, CAPS, etc.)
